GRAND PRIX HONG KONG

On behalf of Top Deck Events welcome to the staff application page for Grand Prix: Hong Kong.  Hong Kong is going to be an exciting Magic weekend with lots of special events, and catching up.   We are looking for friendly, knowledgeable, professional individuals with a goal of providing exceptional guest services through the entire Grand Prix experience.  If this sounds like you, then we welcome you to apply within and be a part of the amazing team that will make Hong Kong a memorable and Magical weekend.

This is a community focused Grand Prix with every non local Level 2+ judge receiving 4 nights HOTEL sponsorship (Thursday to Monday)!!! To bring the community together before we get stuck into work, Thursday night is JUDGE DINNER. Come along and be part of this awesome Grand Prix.

Expectations

ALL Judges are expected to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

All staff members are expected to perform in a professional manner that reflects positively on the rest of the event staff, the Tournament Organizer, Wizards of the Coast and the Judge Program.  We desire team members that diligently seek to promote a fun, exciting environment for everyone to enjoy.  This also includes avoiding activities that could in any way negatively affect a staff member’s performance.

All staff members are expected to dress professionally throughout the weekend, with all clothing clean and neat.  Staff members who do not meet this expectation will be sent to remedy the situation immediately or will be removed without compensation.  Judges are expected to wear the Magic Judge shirt, dark undershirt, black belt, black pants, black socks, and black shoes.  Staff members in a judging role will adhere to the above dress guidelines.

Compensation

With Judge foils being used now for the Exemplar system Top Deck events has put together a comprensive compensation package, to make sure Grand Prix events are very attrative to judges.

• All judges will be receiving the Grand Prix: Hong Kong playmat, and a commemorative Grand Prix Hong Kong Judge Badge!  
• All non local L2+ Judges will get HOTEL sponsorship. (Twin Share) (If you are a local you will get extra stipend)
  
• Judges will also receive booster boxes and a food stipend based on level.  There will be a judge dinner on the Thursday night to welcome the community together and mingle with event staff.
• All L3's get a bonus playmat!
  

Compensation based on level is as follows:

• Level 1 judges will receive $600.00 HKD food stipend and 3 booster displays.
• Level 2 judges will receive $1200.00 HKD food stipend and 5 booster displays.
• Level 3 judges will receive $3000.00 HKD food stipend and 6 booster displays.
• Level 4 judges will receive $4200.00 HKD food stipend and 6 booster displays.

For example, a Level 2 judge working the event would receive:

 
1 - Grand Prix Hong Kong Playmat

1 - Grand Prix Hong Kong Judge Badge!  

5 - Booster displays of Magic Origins and $1200.00 HKD

Hotel for 4 nights twin share (Thursday to Monday).

BACK UP JUDGES

We will require a number of Back up Judges in case player numbers are above expectations.  If you are not selected for the main event and would like to be a back up judge, you will receive FREE entry into the main event, and one on demand event.

Notification of Application

You will be notified through Judge apps if your application has been successfull.  If it has, we will send you the vollenteer agreement to sign which is a requirement, and will be collected on the Friday morning during the judge briefing.
