NOTE: While the WMCQ is a one-day event, we will host a Pro Tour Qualifier on the following Sunday. If you are available to judge at the PTQ, please make that clear in your application.

TRAVEL

We do not provide travel or hotel sponsorship for floor judges at this event. However, we will provide information about any room blocks we arrange with nearby hotels.

EXPECTATIONS

Judges volunteering at these events are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Judging at Regular REL documents, each of which can be found at the Magic Judges Document Center. Judges are also expected to behave in a professional manner at all times, as representatives of Star City Games and the Magic Judge program. This includes arriving on time, and in appropriate attire.

Judges should arrive no later than 8:30 AM on days they are scheduled to judge and are expected to stay until the conclusion of the Swiss rounds. If you must arrive later than 8:30 or may have to leave before the conclusion of Swiss (to catch a ride, for instance), please note that in your application.

The dress code for judges at our events is a tucked-in Star City Games judge shirt (which will be provided for your use at the event, and will be returned at its conclusion), black pants (dress pants are preferred; jeans are acceptable), a belt, and comfortable shoes (both preferably black). Judges should not be in uniform while off-duty, including during breaks and while trading.

TESTING

Testing opportunities are available at this event. If you are interested in testing, please include this in your application, or contact nicholas.sabin@starcitygames.com.

COMPENSATION

Certified judges will receive two Compensation Units (CUs) per day judged. Each CU can be redeemed for one of the following:

• $76 (mailed as a check after the event, pending completion of a Federal W9 tax form.)
• $95 in StarCityGames.com store credit (usable either online or at the event.)

Judges will also receive one free month of StarCityGames.com Premium access, one SCG Judge playmat, and a number of Judge Reward points for this event. Full details about the Judge Rewards program can be found at <http://www.starcitygames.com/pages/event_staffing/judge_rewards>.

Please note that, unlike previous WMCQs, judge foils will not be provided at this event.

Uncertified judges (Level 0) at the WMCQ receive one Compensation Unit.
