Pillars of Moxen
 
The Pillar of Moxen program is growing! If you don’t know what a Pillar is, here is a short definition:

“A Pillar of Moxen is a judge who already judged several times for BoM and who has been outstanding at BoM events. Pillar of Moxen are automatically accepted when they apply to our events and their compensation is upgraded, no matter what their judge level is.”

Judge contracts

Just like at our 2015 events, you will need to sign a contract to be able to work this GP.

Compensation

It has recently happened a few L3s were not accepted to a GP staff. We deeply believe in the quality L3s bring to an event but reality comes through. Therefore, we’ve thought about ways to make this a win-win exchange and would like try a slightly different system for GP Lyon for L3s.

For this GP we will recruiting some L3s, in addition to Pillar of Moxen, as "Person in charge". This judges will have specific tasks such as: Main Event Team Leader (except L2 TL day 2), Shadow L2 TL day 2, HJ of the SSS, Public event lead, ODE lead, Friday Trials lead, Community Lead. Judges selected as "Person in charge" will get a specific compensation for all the days they are selected. The L3 selected as floor judges, will receive a compensation closer to the other FJ.

There is no obligation for a L3 to apply as a L3 FJ, it is just one more opportunity to be selected.

The compensation per day is:
L1 : 1 box EN/FR | 60€
L2 : 1 box EN/FR | 0,5 box RU |100€     
L3 floor judge : 1 box EN/FR | 1 box RU |100€ 
Person in charge: 1 box EN/FR | 1 box RU |200€ (plus bonus if you are Pillar of Moxen)

Every judge who judges at least 1 day will get a copy of the GP Playmat and a set of our exclusive foil BoM tokens of GP Lyon.

Worked days

You can apply for Fri/Sat, Sat/Sun, Fri/Sat/Sun. Flexible people have a higher chance to be selected.

Shifts

We want you to be able to prepare your trip as soon as possible. That's why, if you are selected you will be selected for a specific shift on Friday and Sunday.

Your chances to be accepted are higher if you are flexible regarding the number of days and your shifts.

Friday

    A: 09:00 - 18:00
    B: 13:00 - 22:00
    C: 16:00 - Closing  (forecast time 01:00)
    S: 9:00 – 13:30 and 17:30 – 21:30

The “S” shift is a splited shift. First part of the shift would be 9:00 to 13:30, the second part of the shift would be 17:30 to 21:30. Between the two shifts we are willing to provide free draft tournaments for the people doing this special shift

Saturday

    A: Main event
    B: Side events

Sunday

    A: 08:00 - 17:00
    B: 11:00 - 20:00
    C: 15:30 - Closing (forecast time 00:30). We'll thank the judges from this shift with an additional Russian box.
    D: Main event (schedule will depend of the HJ)
 
Stand-by judges

Attendance at GP Lyon may greatly vary. Therefore, we are looking for Stand-by judges.

A Stand-by judge is someone who primarily plans to play the GP, but who would not mind judging if attendance exceeds our expectations.
 
The Stand-by judges who are not activated can play a tournament for free on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Stand-by judges who will be activated will receive 1 extra box of compensation! No matter the number of days they will judge.
