Shifts

You may apply for one to three days, but your application must include Saturday. We will need some people to work Friday-Saturday (or Saturday only), please indicate whether you're available for this. 

On Friday, we will need judges for three shifts: early starting at 11:00, middle starting at 14:00 and late starting at 16:00 (very few judges will be needed for the late shift). Please indicate your availability for these shifts if applying for Friday. On Sunday, we expect you to be available until 20:00. A few judges will be needed until about midnight on Sunday. 

Friday shifts will be published when selections are published. Saturday/Sunday shifts will be published later. If you have special requirements regarding your shifts, please include that information in your cover letter. 

Public event leads

We are looking for a few experienced judges (primarily L3+) to fill Public Events shift lead positions. If you are interested in these roles, please mention that in your application.  

Compensation

We are offering the following compensation:

L1: 1 box and 50 EUR per shift, plus 1 judge playmat and 1 GP playmat

L2: 1.5 boxes (1 EN + 0.5 RU) and 75 EUR per shift, plus 1 judge playmat and 1 GP playmat 

L3+: 2 boxes (1 EN + 1 RU) and 200 EUR per shift, plus 1 judge playmat and  1 GP playmat 

The product will be Battle for Zendikar. 

 Example: a Level 2 working Saturday and Sunday would receive 3 boxes, 150 EUR, 1 judge playmat and 1 GP playmat. 

 Food

 We provide soup, water, coffee, tea, pasta, bread, ham & cheese, waffles and other snacks. 

Standby judges

We will need some standby judges for this event, including Friday. If selected as standby, you will be expected to come and play the main event for free. If attendance exceeds our expectations, you will be expected to judge instead and will receive normal judge compensation. We will register standby judges in the main event in case they are not needed as judges. Standby judges for Sat/Sun will be informed on Friday night whether they will be judging or not. If you are on standby for Friday or Sunday only, you will receive a free side event voucher.

Contract

Every judge must sign a contract before their first shift. A contract template will be available in the files section of this page soon. 

Hotel 

We have an exclusive hotel deal for judges. Since availability is limited, we will publish the booking details after the judge selection has been made. The price will be 69 EUR per night for a single and 88 EUR per night for a double.
