Scottish Judge Conference 2016

We am very pleased to announce the second Scottish Judge Conference! This will be taking place on Saturday, the 19th of November 2016 at 10am.

Judge conferences are an opportunity to meet new people, see old friends, learn new tips and share knowledge. During the conference, we will be running seminars and workshops focusing on particular aspects of the judge program, all presented by volunteers like you.

The Scottish Judge Conference is open to all, regardless whether you're a player or judge, local or non-local. However, if you do plan on attending, please apply here so that we will have an accurate headcount for planning purposes. 

To recieve any judge foils that will be available, judges must apply before the 1st October 2016.

Presenters

To present at the judge conference, we would like to hear from you before the 1st October 2016.  This is to allow us time to plan a schedule in advance. You don't need to have a topic decided by then, just a willingness to present! 

Best Presentation Award

The best presenter will be awarded a Foil Kiki-Jiki from Champions of Kamigawa! This will be done with a vote on the day. So come along and present at our conference and possibly walk away with prizes! 

Schedule

The list of presenters and presentations will be forthcoming.

The event will culminate with a Judge Quiz, hosted by Craig Mackie, where you can expect the questions to be viciously unfair.

Testing

Level 1 and Level 2 Testing will be available by prior arrangement. If you wish to test for Level 1 or 2, please contact Craig (fkfeth@gmail.com) in advance to arrange details.

Accommodation

For those travelling from outside Scotland, we have a few spare rooms in friendly local judges houses who would be happy to help you save some costs on visiting. Contact Liz (cronvek@gmail.com) for more information! First come, first served!

Judge Dinner

We have organised a meal after the conference as Cosmo in Edinburgh starting at 7pm. If you are unable to attend the conference but would like to attend the meal afterwards, please email Liz (cronvek@gmail.com) for the purpose of assuring we have enough seats reserved!
