Grand Prix Toronto 2017 is coming soon!
On behalf of the team at facetofacegames.com, thank you for your interest in GP Toronto 2017!
Our goal for this event is to make sure everyone who leaves the tournament hall does so thinking that they have just had the best tournament experience of their lives. To help us meet this goal we are looking for a dedicated, service-oriented, skilled team of judges who share our passion for making people happy.

Expectations
Judging a Grand Prix exists at the junction of great fun and hard work. Judges selected for one, two, or three days will be asked to perform a wide variety of tasks, from pushing in chairs and pushing in garbage to answering judge calls to staffing the prize wall and everything in between. Judges should be professionally dressed at all times in judge shirts, black pants or skirts, black shoes and black socks.
If you need a judge shirt, please mention this in your application.
We expect judges to be on time for their shifts and to conduct themselves in a manner that represents facetofacegames.com, the judge program and Wizards of the Coast in a favorable light. We do understand that life sometimes gets in the way, and ask that any delays or inability to attend be communicated to the judge manager as soon as is practical.
We will aim to have acceptances out by the first week of June.
If you need an earlier decision to facilitate travel, please mention this in your application. In addition, please let us know of any scheduling restrictions.
Compensation
Payment for judges will be based on level and is subject to an invoice being completed and presented before payment can be made. The invoice should be for travel and lodging charges.
All judges will receive a box per day worked. Additionally:
Level 1 judges will receive $75.00 per day worked.
Level 2 judges will receive $275.00 per day worked.
Level 3 judges will receive $400.00 per day worked.
Additional swag, to be announced at a later date, will be given. All amounts are in Canadian dollars.
Stage Staff and Side Event Scorekeepers
We have a limited need for staff and/or scorekeeper positions. If you are interested in one of these roles (Prize Wall, Info Booth, Registration, or Side Events Scorekeeper) please apply here and select the role or roles you are interested in.
Compensation for these roles starts as advertised for your Judge Level (where applicable), paired with experience and final role.

Thursday Setup/Product Prep Crew
We will be looking for a small team of judges to work on Thursday with product prep and venue setup. The shift is expected to be 8 hours, but may last longer depending on the speed of product and goodie prep. Those working Thursday please be prepared to do some manual labour and sealed pool preparation. These judges will receive an additional $150 regardless of level.
Leadership Roles
Some judges will be selected for leadership roles - these require extra work before the event and a much higher degree of responsibility during the event. If selected for a leadership role, judges will receive an additional $150 to their total compensation. These roles include Day 1 team lead, Day 2 team lead, or Side event leadership (On-Demand Events Lead, Scheduled Events Lead, GPT Lead, and Sides Lead)
L2 judges who have their Day 2 Team Lead certification or who have passed the Team Lead check as part of the L3 process will receive priority for L2-appropriate leadership positions. If you have passed the team lead check, please mention it in your application as it does not show in Judge Apps.

Testing
