Unable to schedule events in WER

After the most recent update forcing signing into WER using our universal Wizards of the Coast login, I am no longer able to schedule events in WER. Both halves of the screen are blank with the message, “No events for selected game or organization.”

Unable to schedule events in WER

Well, after closing and reopening WER a few times over the course of a couple of hours, on the third iteration the problem resolved itself and apparent functionality was restored.

Then, the following morning, at my event, the problem resurfaced.

At this point, I am guessing that whatever fix was implemented to prevent WER from quietly disconnecting from the server has also damaged the handshake process so that if the user is not lucky enough to get a timely response at the moment of log in, functionality will disappear and the program has to be closed and reopened again and again until you win the functionality lottery.
