DCI-numbers containing letters

Dear fellow judges, we (this is; myself, Ewout De Leeuw and Niels Viaene) need your help!

While giving a new player his very own DCI-number we noticed that this new DCI-number also contains letters instead of only numbers.
Now when trying to get this new DCI-number into the WER (while registering players for an event) we also noticed that the WER refuses to let us enter letters into the field where you put the players' DCI-number. We already tried after an update of the WER and it still refuses to work.
Does anyone of you lovely people know how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Some desperate judges ;)

Anouk, on some of the new DCI cards, I believe the numbers were switched -
there is a confirmation code down at the bottom that got swapped with the
actual DCI number - try using that instead of the with-letters code in the
DCI section.

This is a printing error.
Wizards accidentally swapped the online activation code with the DCI number
on this run of cards. If you look at the small text of the activation code,
you'll see that it's all numbers and this is, in fact, the dci number for
that card. If you absolutely need to use one of these cards, that's how you
can do it, but I believe WPN wanted stores to not use those cards and just
order more from their WPN rep.

And better still than using cards: have players sign up for a DCI# at https://accounts.wizards.com – takes 2 minutes although it requires email confirmation.

Hello lovely fellow judges,

Thank you all for your fast responses :D
This should solve the problem, I will also recommend to the store to have players sign up for online for a DCI-number.

Thanks a lot,
Some less-desperate judges ;)
