M19 Prerelease Weekend

We are creeping up on M19 prerelease weekend and we are looking for several judges to help make this event a success. The event times that we are looking to bring dedicated judges on for our five round capped single events at

12:01 AM Saturday (Single Player)

10:00 AM Saturday (Single Player)

5:00 PM Saturday (Two-Headed Giant)

5:30 PM Saturday (Single Player)

10:00 AM Sunday (Single Player)

5:00 PM Sunday (Single Player)

Compensation

Compensation will be twelve packs of M19 upon release, free entry into for that judge into another of our M19 prerelease events and 10% off of all MTG single card purchases until the next prerelease weekend.

Event Info & Expectations

Registration officially opens up an hour before each event although most players will be enrolled through preregistration. We would like for our judges to arrive at the time that registration officially open for the event that they are running. Player enrollment into WER, score keeping, posting of pairings, passing out of round slips, judge calls/rulings, getting sealed kits into player’s hands and uploading of events will be the responsibility of each event’s judge. Comic Town staff can and will help out as needed throughout the weekend. Prizing out players, trade ins, getting merchandise, ringing out guests and other shop related activities will be the responsibility of the Comic Town staff. We want you to succeed and want to free you up focus on your event.  

Dress Code

The dress code for judges at this event is a tucked-in black shirt (preferably a Magic Judge uniform shirt), black pants, black belt, and comfortable black shoes. Judges should not be in uniform while off-duty, including during breaks and while trading.

Staffing decisions will be announced no later than Monday July 2nd.
