Central Pennsylvania Area Judge Conference

Fellow judges, I would like to invite you to the Central Pennsylvania Area's Summer 2018 Judge Conference.

This conference will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at White Knight's Game Room in Williamsport, Pa.
It will begin at 11am with the end time TBD.

Our conference is aimed towards developing our local judge community, and reaffirm the lessons learned from our local JTQ six months prior to this event. The focus of this conference’s presentations will cover Comprehensive Rules Chapter 6 as well as judge soft skills. Attendees are encouraged to use this conference as a networking and social event. We encourage all judge candidates you are mentoring to seek out this JudgeApps event and apply.  Level 1 certification testing will be made available; please send an email with your interests by August 3rd.

Presenters/Staff

We are looking for judges who are willing to lead discussions and provide presentations to the group.  This is an excellent opportunity to discuss a topic of your interest or expertise, as well as demonstrate your knowledge and hone your presentation and speaking skills. •     Using WER and other online/computing resources

•     Tips and techniques for writing tournament reports and reviews

Standards of Conduct

Attendance Capacity

There is a physical limitation of 25 confirmed attendees at the venue.  If this limitation is reached, you will be advised as space becomes available. As a sign of appreciation, Wizards of the Coast allows us to offer attendees a selection of promotional foil cards, proportional to the number of seminars attended. The exact packet is not known at this time.  These foils are available if you meet the following criteria:

• Register for the conference by applying to this JudgeApps event.
• Be a certified (Level 1 or higher) Judge with a correct level in JudgeApps at the time you apply.
• Be among the first 25 certified judges to do so.
