Thank you for your interest in the Eternal Weekend 2018 presented by CardTitan.com.  The dates for the event are November 1st through November 4th 2018.  Please be certain to read over the entire application for important information before applying.  Applications will close on August 31st.

Expectations

The information contained in this application covers judges and administrative staff for the event.  Judging roles include: working the main event, scheduled side events, as well as on demand events.  Administrative staff includes: registration, info desk, VIP, special operations, and prize wall.  In addition, a certain portion of these roles will be leadership positions, such as, but not limited to, main event team lead, side events lead.  Please be sure to indicate in which roles you are interested in your application.

Please note that you may apply for multiple roles and may have more than one on the weekend.  If you selected for judge staff, you may still be asked to take on administrative tasks if needed.

If selected for a judging role, you may be asked to do any of the following:

• Work on main event teams
• Judge scheduled side events
• Judge on demand events

If selected for an administrative role you may be asked to do any of the following:

• Information desk
• Registration
• Prize Wall
• VIP Attendant
• Other event operations duties

If selected for a leadership role you may be asked to do any of the following:

• AM or PM scheduled side events lead
• AM or PM ODE lead
• AM or PM LCT lead
• Team lead on the main event

If accepted for a lead role you may be asked to take on non-lead tasks or roles at the event; however, you will be compensated at the lead rate for the all days you are staffed (this does not include set-up day on Wednesday).  In addition, some judges not originally selected for lead roles might end up serving in that position. In those cases, they'll receive the lead rate for those days they serve in a leadership position.

Everyone selected for judge staff will be expected to work a minimum of two days, either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday.  A small number of judges may be selected for all three days.  Anyone selected to work in an administrative position is expected to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  All staff are expected to be available until at least 8 PM (20:00) on Sunday.

Regular shifts are approximately 10 hours.

Compensation

All staff members will receive one (1) Eternal Weekend playmat per day in addition to the following (split evenly among mats from the main events):

Lead positions: $275 / day

Main event judges: $200 /day (Extended Shift)

Side event judges: $150/ day (Regular Shift)

Administrative: $200 / day (Extended Shift)

You may opt for a portion of the compensation in store credit at a rate of 120%.  You must inform the judge manager that you wish to use this option at least one week prior to the event.

All staff will need to complete the appropriate paper work prior to starting their first shift, this includes a W-9.

Please also note that all selected applicants will be checked against the National Sex Offender Registry located at https://www.nsopw.gov.

Thursday AM Setup and Sunday PM Teardown

We will need staff on Thursday to assist with preparing the hall and other miscellaneous set up. 

Anyone selected to work on Thursday setup will receive the daily rate of $150.

We also need staff on Sunday night to tear down the hall and pack up the equipment.  This shift will start at 4 PM (16:00) on Sunday and will go until the event is completely packed up (generally Midnight, 24:00, or later).

Anyone selected to work on Sunday teardown will receive the daily rate of $150.

Please keep in mind that the setup and teardown work is physical in nature and you need to be able to lift and move large and heavy items for extended periods of time throughout this shift.
