Star Lotus Alberta Modern Open

Welcome to the Star Lotus Alberta Modern Open! We are looking for three (3) floor judges and three (3) standby judges.

Floor judges and activated standby judges will receive $200 for the day.

Standby judges that are not activated will receive free entry to the Open. Activation points are at 120 players (four floor judges), 150 players (five floor judges), and 180 players (six floor judges).

This event will cap at 226 players.

Event Information:

Arrive at venue: 8:30 AM.
Judge meeting: 8:45 AM.
Registration: 9 AM - 9:45 AM
Event start: 10 AM
Expected number of rounds: 8
Expected top 8 start: 6:30 PM.

Expectations for the event include:

• Answering judge calls and rules questions
• Maintaining the play area for players (picking up trash, keeping table numbers organized, etc.)
• Staying current with recent policy changes
• Deep familiarity/understanding of all Rules & Policy documents
• Professional demeanor and attire
• Working both the main event and side events
