North Georgia Mini-Judge Conference

Welcome!

In cooperation with Win Condition Games the Southeast Regional Leadership, we are pleased to announce a mini-conference for the Atlanta area for September 22nd, 2018. This event will be held at Win Condition Games in Kennesaw, Ga. 

Judge conferences are a great way for judges of all levels of experience to come together, meet new and old friends, and share their collective experience and knowledge. If you want to learn, teach, or likely do a bit of both in a fun environment surrounded by judges just like yourself, this is the place to be

While judge conferences are typically open to everyone, this will be capped, and foil support will only be provided for those certified judges accepted to the event. Acceptance will be based primarily on geographical proximity to the event, although judges selected as presenters will be accepted regardless of location.

Scheduling
The Judge Conference start time is 11:30, with presentations beginning at noon, and ending around 6pm, followed by a group Judge Dinner, which will likely be a local restaurant that can accomidate the party.

Presentations
Presentations make a conference, and with a large amount of things to discuss and limited space and time, we want to make sure we are talking about things people want to hear about, by people who want to talk about them.

In order for some to learn, some must teach. We are looking for a number of presenters focusing on L1 basic skills and growth.

Testing

 Testing will be available for L1 and L2 Candidates, however to be considered for testing please indicate that you plan to test either on your application or by emailing georgiamagicjudge@gmail.com before Sept 15th. Please have your checklist ready

Foil Support
Wizards of the Coast and the Judge Program are rewarding certified judges at this conference with a selection of judge foils. The number of foils given to each attendee will be based on the number of seminars attended, and the completion of an exit survey. Only those registered and certified by August 21st, 2018 will be eligible for foil support. There are no exceptions to this policy.
