GP Melbourne 2018 Conference

Judge conference for GP Melbourne will be on Monday after the GP. Timing is 10am to 5pm, including a 45 minute lunch break.

Two presentations will run concurrently in the morning AND another two in the afternoon.

Schedule (times are a rough guide)

• 10:00-10:15 introductions
• 10:15-11:15 replacement effects with Steven Zwanger
• 11:15-12:15 backups with Nathan Brewer || layers with Donald Sutherland (30 mins each)
• 1215-1300 lunch
• 13:00-14:15 investigation scenarios
• 14:15-15:45 dealing with difficult players with Warren Hawkins || hidden card errors with Klaus Lassacher (45 mins each)
• 15:45-16:15 mentoring & testing new judges (aimed at L2+) with Matthew Anderson || expectations and event review (aimed at L1) with Laura Ellis
• 16:15-16:45 trivia with Fry Freiberg

The conference is being held at Games Laboratory, a FLGS (friendly local game store) in the heart of Melbourne. The event space is on the top floor, the stairs may be roped off - if so, let an employee know you’re there for the conference and they’ll let you up.

Directions from the venue: take the tram at the front to the Queen st/ Bourke st stop (or similar). The best tram is 96, 109 and 12 (or so Google tells me).

Please note: foils will be allocated proportionally by attendance - if you can't attend all day you will still get foils! Foils will go to all certified judges that apply and attend.
