L3 Leadership Workshop - first pilot

We would like to present you a result of collaboration between the Level, the Coaching and the Conference Spheres with support from Channel Fireball. Drum rolls please…

The “Leadership Toolkit” is a set of workshops designed to help L3s develop their leadership skills by deep diving into some of the most important and related soft skills. We will work on the ability to listen and talk (feedback), to act (conflict management theory and practice), to understand (increase empathy levels) and to motivate (people motivation, expectation and management).

We decided to focus on these essential leadership skills because the Judge Program is built on diversity where we all learn from each other. But diversity is only made possible if we share about our differences through feedback and successfully manage any disagreements or differences of perspectives. Hence this is where our journey will start from!

No matter if you might consider yourself a beginner, knowledgeable or expert in these topics, we would still like to invite you. The workshops are designed in a way that participants can learn from each other as well as learning from the instructor. So, help us out by sharing what you know.

The First Pilot!

The first ever workshop will take place in Atlanta on Nov 5th-6th in the week between GP and PT Atlanta (Monday and Tuesday). Please apply by Oct 1st. It will be a very interactive 2-day workshop and spots will be limited in order to guarantee the best experience to all judges attending and the maximum amount of interactions between attendees and instructor.

Instructor will be Ivan Petkovic who is heading the Coaching Sphere. Ivan is an agile, personal and management coach specializing in leadership and other soft skill topics. Within the Judge Program he organized similar workshops and trainings for his regions in Europe East and German Speaking Region as well as on number of conferences in Europe.

Application!

The 2-day workshop will be free for all judges attending. You will need to arrange for your own lodging. The Conference Sphere supports the workshop by providing judge foils that will be entirely used to cover the costs of the workshop. Channel Fireball supports the growth of L3s by providing the place to host the workshop.
