Event Information
This year we are pleased to announce that we will once again be gathering the Leadership of the UKISA Judge Region to discuss, debate and deliver on any topic that impacts our Judge Community. This conference is for tackling problems, learning from one another to improve consistency across the region and planning for ways we can improve not only our community but the judges within it and how we as a whole and as individuals interact with the wider magic community. This year's conference will hopefully also look into the new way the judge program will look in the face of MCQs and how that will more directly impact UKISA judges and Tournaments.
If you have any questions or concerns about this year's Leadership Conference please contact Imogen Tilley (imogentilley@gmail.com) for any venue, food or logistics related questions. Anything to do with content, programme or special circumstances, or anything else really, goes to Jack Doyle/Thomas Ralph (see contacts below).
Dates and Times
The conference will take place across the weekend of Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of March 2019.
We encourage judges to aim to arrive by 11am on Saturday for an 11:30 start to the schedule, running up to around 6:30pm when we will break for dinner but we will still have access to the room until 11pm for evening activities.
On Sunday we will begin at 9am so that we can be finished by 4:15pm for the ease of those travelling home on Sunday night.
A lunch buffet will be provided on both days and tea and coffee will be freely available throughout. Dinner arrangements for Saturday night, which will be pay as you go, will be announced later.

Travel
Bus
The citizenM Glasgow Hotel is located right in the heart of Glasgow, right next door to the Buchanan Street Bus Station which almost all bus and coach routes that go through the city itself stop at.
Train
We will be less than 10 minutes from each of the major Glasgow train stations (Central and Queen Street) and our closest underground stop is Cowcaddens if you fancy a trip on the Clockwork Orange.
Air
Glasgow airport is also very well connected and the 500 bus (it's purple!) will get you from the airport to the Bus station for around £12. Prestwick airport is also an option served mainly by budget airlines and connected to Central station by train.
Attendees
Attendance is by invitation of the Regional Coordinator. Level 3 judges and Area Captains in the UKISA region, as well as judges invited by the Regional Coordinator, may apply.
Accomodation
The citizenM itself is a little more on the expensive side but there are dozens of hotels in the immediate surrounding area and yet cheaper options if you take short bus right to the edge of the city centre. We have not therefore arranged specific room blocks.
If you would like to stay at the citizenM itself book through this link for a 15% discount: https://www.citizenm.com/SocietyMMeeting
Judge Foils
Judges who apply before the deadline and attend and actively participate in all seminars (or, where applicable, are excused) will receive a standard conference foil packet as a token of appreciation for their participation.
