Standard Tournament - MCS Opener

Thank you for your interest in judging this exciting event! This will be the first event of the year in the Montana Championship Series, and we expect this to be a large event.

This event is a competitive REL Standard event.

The event will begin at 11:30 AM, so applicants should be able to be on site by 11 AM at the latest.

Expected turnout is about 30 players, making for 5 rounds, followed by a cut to the Top8.

Applicants should be familiar with the IPG as well as the MTR and comprehensive rules. Applicants are expected to behave professionally while representing the judge program and Rook's Games and More. This includes: dressing in appropriate judge attire, treating store employees and players with respect, and prioritizing the needs of the event.

Compensation will be three points toward the end-of-the-year invitational, as well as $4.25 per player in store credit, which can be spent on items at the store's cost (making it more like ~$7 per player).

UPDATE: We are now also looking for a floor judge for this event, in addition to a HJ! This will be a great chance for a newer judge to get some practice at competitive REL with a safety net, and a chance for a more experienced judge to practice mentoring.
