Lady Planeswalker Charity : "May the 4th be with you"

Dear All,

We are looking for Judges to help us run the Lady Planeswalker Charity : "May the 4th be with you" event in Ghent! 

Tournaments:

Doors will open at 10:30

We will have two main tournaments: 

• A Gentry Invitational Qualifier tournnament which will be run at regular REL which will start at 11h00

• A modern Dutch Open Series Qualifier tournament which will be run at competitive REL which will start at 12h00

• Side events : chaos draft and drafts which will start at 16h00

Positions & Expectations

We are looking for:

• One flying Judge (L2+): Who will have a mentoring position and In mutual agreement with the judge of each tournament can offer to be an appeal judge for their tournament:

  • Are you a L2 or L3 judge and would you like the opportunity of mentoring other judges during an epic day filled with different formats and a lot of positive energy? Than this might be your lucky day!
    

• One Head Judge for the modern tournament (L2) & one Head Judge (L1+) for the gentry tournament

• One standby judge for each of those tournaments (L0 with experience and L1+) - standby judge will be activated if we reach 32+ players

• We also need some non judge roles to help us during this epic day : Info point and bartending

Shifts:

Flying Judge is expected to be there form 10:00 until the end of the modern tournament

Gentry Judges are expecting to be there at 10:00 - only the Head judge is required to stay for the top 8 

Modern judges are expecting to be there at 10:00 - only the Head judge is required to stay for the top 8

Bartending will be divided into two shifts: 10:00 to 18:00 and 12:30 to 20:30

Info point is expected to be there from 10:00 to 14:00 

Compensation:

every position will get : 

• A LPS shirt

• A goodiebox

• Free non-alcoholic drinks during the day of the tournament

• A small lunch on the day of the tournament

• Free access to the dessert-buffet

In addition we offer the following daily rates: 

Flying Judge : 

• €0.5 per player that participates in every event that fires before 18:00

• Transportation costs are covered (up to €20)

Head judge and Floor judge:

• €1 per player that participates in your event

• Transportation costs are covered (up to €20)

• If the standby judges are not activated they get a free entry for one of the two events.

Bartenders:

• 0,2 euros/ drink sold that day divided between the two of you

• 10 euros

We have around 80+ seats for the two tournaments, if preregistrations goes really well we can book an additional room 

In addition of those roles I (Cécile) will be present as Show manager doing ops tasks and Anouk will also be on site as Tournament Organisator
