Event Information
GENERAL INFORMATION
Welcome to the application for a MidAtlantic Region mini-conference! This conference will be held at the lovely Cape Fear Games in Wilmington North Carolina!
This conference is FOIL-supported. To be eligible for foils, the applicant must be certified and accepted to the conference by 9 March. Uncertified Judges are welcome to apply and attend!
To be accepted, please write a cover letter letting us know what you might like to get out of attendance. Applications with no cover letter will be accepted at a lower priority.
We will perform rolling acceptances, so be sure to apply sooner than later!
ADDITIONALLY, we are looking to add another presentation into our day and need a presenter for Event Awareness & Judge Calls. If you would like to present something you are passionate about, LET US KNOW. We need more judges like you to show us what is important to you, so we can make it important to us.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Cape Fear Games has drink and snacks available onsite for purchase, with Italian and American cuisine dining establishments located next door.

11:10 am - 12:00 pm – Copy Effects; presented by Steven Zwanger
12:05 pm - 12:55 pm – GRV vs L@CE vs HCE; presented by Nicholas Sabin
12:55 pm - 1:25 pm – Lunch
1:25pm – 2:10 pm – Leading Side Events & Soft Skills; presented by Meg Rickman
2:15 pm – 3:45pm – Investigations; presented by the CJ Crooks
After Last Class – Regional Coordinator Ponderings; presented by Eric D. Brown
TESTING
For those interested in testing at this conference, make sure to check out the requirements: https://blogs.magicjudges.org/o/judge-levels/
Testing for L1 will likely be available, with testing for L2 arranged with sufficient notice. If you would like to test, make sure to mention it in your application, and be prepared to show us proof of your readiness.
If you do not inform us beforehand, unfortunately we are unlikely to test you at the conference.
