Event Information
Mox Boarding House would like to invite you to judge at our Mythic Championship Qualifier.
This is one of the first MCQs that will be hosted. The format is Standard. It will be a typical Swiss tournament with a cut to top 8. We have vacancies at this time for up to three(3) Floor Judges at L2 or above and we'll take a two(2) Judges at L1. Any L2 or higher applicants are eligible to request Head Judge, if desired.
The event will be taking place at the Mox Boarding House on Saturday, May 11th. Registration will open for players at 9AM and judges will be expected to be on-site at 9:15 AM to help prepare the event and receive further instructions.
The main event will begin at 10AM and will go until the Top 8 finishes shortly after 9PM (Depending on attendance). The bulk of the judges will be on staff until roughly 6:00PM. The event will also be streamed on Twitch.tv, so there will need to be some collaboration between the judges and the cast team.
Due to the high value of the prizes, the event will be run at Competitive Rule Enforcement Level, so please be familiar with the Infraction Procedure Guide.
BACKGROUND CHECKS
Per new company policy, we are requiring all applicants to undergo a background check prior to approval and bringing on to our events. If you have already filled out a check with us, please disregard. Note that in the information, it indicates that a credit check and personal interviews/references may be performed. Let us assure you that we will be performing no such actions; just a criminal background check.
After applying, please fill out, scan and return to me ASAP. We will also assure you that no information will be reviewed by anyone other than our HR department.
COMPENSATION
Compensation for the event will have the option of (Judge Level + 1) Booster Boxes of any standard-legal set or $100 in store credit per judge level. Judges will also be eligible for the store Volunteer Discount and will be compensated one meal in the restaurant.
JUDGE ATTIRE
Judges shirts are not provided, however a button-up shirt will suffice if you do not have an official judge shirt. Black pants (or dark jeans), belt, and comfortable shoes should also be worn while on the event floor.
