Chicagoland Mythic Conference Presenters (Track 1)

Greetings, judges! 

We are looking for some presenters for the Chicagoland conference on May 26, 2019 at Pastimes in Niles, IL. This is the day after a Mythic Championship Qualifier at the same venue. What we need are judges to help present on Track One of the conference - a track focusing on in-store events, on running them effectively and creating a great experience for your players. This track is also very applicable to those running events at larger happenings (such as MagicFest side events or conventions). We'd love to get some judges who are experienced in these processes to create an effective hands-on presentation to be able to help improve the skill of the attendees in their track. If you are a very experienced L2 or an L3 who is interested in presenting on Track Two of that conference, please contact John Temple directly.

Here are the topics that we plan to include in track one. Please, in your application, let us know what you would like to present on as well as how you would plan to go about executing that presentation. Not all of these presentations are expected to be an hour long, and we will be open to individuals presenting on multiple topics. 

• Using Wizards Event Reporter (WER) to its fullest capacity;
• Performing the most effective opening announcements for your type of event;
• Launching a draft or starting your prerelease event;
• Taking judge calls / handling investigations;
• "I just DQ'd somebody, now what?"; 
• Staying in touch with the program;
• Identifying bad conduct - and working to change it!

Compensation:

Attendance at the conference comes with a Judge Foil packet; all presenters at a conference receive an additional foil packet. While we cannot guarantee the specific packet that is received at a given time, the just-announced Exemplar packet is, shall we say, spicy. We're also exploring additional options as we realize that presenting on this track means not participating in track two.
