Event Information
I'm happy to announce the Tennessee Mini-conference is now available for signups. This will be held at Knighthood Games in Cookeville, TN on June 29.
Our community continues to grow and as more judges continue to join the local Magic scene, we must ensure that they stay up to date on current best practices. Judge Conferences are the occasion to meet new people and see old friends, to learn and to teach, to share your tips and spread knowledge. They are one of the best opportunities to get good practices and share what works for you. During this conference, short seminars or workshops focused on one aspect of the judge program will be presented by volunteers.
We are looking for four (4) presenters for this conference. If you would like to head a seminar, please make it clear in your application and include what topic you would present on and your experience presenting that topic previously, as well as any tools you will need for your presentation. Please note, a projector may not be available, so keep that in mind.
The Judge Conference is open to everyone, regardless of Judge Level or location. We are limited to 30 seats and may need to prioritize applications, with Tennessee judges then Southeast US judges taking precedence. Acceptances will be weighted by 1) Willingness to present during the conference and 2) Location
SCHEDULING
The conference will be run from 1pm to 5
pm with one seminar each hour. The full breakdown of the presentations for the day will be posted in the forums closer to the conference dae.
FOIL SUPPORT
Our friends at Wizards of the Coast are supporting this conference by providing a selection of judge foils for our attendees. The number of foils given to each attendee will be based on the number of seminars attended.
In order to receive foils, your application will need to be submitted before May 22.
