2019 Summer CZ/SK Judge Conference

Event Information

The conference will be held on August 23-25 in Luka nad Jihavou 

We plan to run two parallel seminar tracks for most of the program. One track will be in Czech, the other one in English.

 
Since the detailed preparation of the program very much depends on the number of judges/presenters, if you are likely to arrive, please apply ASAP - don`t wait for the application deadline. We also don’t have unlimited number of rooms.

We are looking for presenters! If you want to present some topic, please fill-in these information in the application.

 Friday 
There will be no seminars on Friday. We plan to spend the evening with chat, eat+drink and sports. Group entertainment proposals will be posted in special JudgeApps thread.

Saturday 

On Saturday there will be mandatory seminars, starting from 9.00/9.30. We are planning to run about 3 seminars before lunch and several paralel running  seminars afterwards. Group entertainment proposals for Saturday evening will be posted in special JudgeApps thread.

 
Sunday 

Seminars on Sunday are mandatory and there will be about 3 seminars starting from 9.00/9.30. After the lunch there will be an official conference end at about 14:00.

Estimated cost per person (full accomodation+full catering) is 1400-1500 CZK (approx. €55). There are about 29 beds there. The beds will be reserved (to participants staying BOTH nights) on the first come-first served basis after the prepayment arrives.
The prepayment is 500 CZK or €20. It is payable to one of these accounts:

  Please add a note to your deposit  payment "from <NAME OF THE JUDGE> for Summer Judge Conf" so that I can identify it.
  Unless you cancel your attendance before 11th of August, the prepayment is considered non-refundable.
  The rest of the conference cost will be paid on site (EUR or CZK).

Once the maximum capacity is reached, all further participants (+ participants staying one night only) are to book their accommodation theirselves. There are plenty of such possibilities in Jihlava (10 km far away).
The conference price excluding the accommodation is about 800-900 CZK. The pre-payment is 300 CZK (or €12).

There are some sport facilites including a swimming pool close to the venue.

 Foil Support:

In order to receive an attendant’s foil pack, you must:

- be a certified judge before start of the event
- apply in time via JudgeApps (including the mandatory cover letter)
- actively attend all seminars on Saturday and Sunday (you will be asked to give feedback after EACH seminar)*

There will be foils for presenters too. 

* You will receive a proportional part of the attendant’s foil pack, if you don’t attend all seminars.
