Oklahoma Mock Tournament #2 (Tulsa)

As part of our USA South Mini-Conference series, this is Oklahoma's second Mock Tournament of 2019!

This Mock Tournament is being hosted by Dragonslayer Games in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 23rd. This conference is not foil supported, but judges will receive product as part of the event as well as additional door and participation prizes.

Our purpose for this event is to provide an educational environment for learning judges to develop their skills at Competitive REL. Players for the event will be experienced judges acting out assigned scenarios for training purposes. The judge staff (including Head Judge) will be comprised of less-experienced judges working to build up their skills. These events can become a bit chaotic, so be prepared!

The format of this tournament will be Ravnica Allegiance sealed at no cost to players / staff.

We will be accepting up to 16 players and 4 judges for this event. L2+s and experienced L1s are encouraged to apply as players. While not required as a player, an application is encouraged as an RSVP. We are also looking for one presenter to share a 30 minute informative presentation on a relevant practical topic for the event to follow. Please submit your presentation topic with your application if you're interested.

Staffing Expectations:

• 1 Head Judge (L1, preferably with some amount of Comp REL experience)
• 3 Floor Judges (L1s with little or no Comp REL experience - other event experience preferred)

Judge staff will be expected to operate at a level similar to that of a Competitive REL event. Cursory familiarity with the MTR and IPG is encouraged.

Tentative schedule:

• 12pm: Arrival and check-in, judge staff briefing
• 12:30pm: Presentation
• 1pm: Event Start / Deck Construction
• 2pm: Round 1
• 3pm: Round 2
• 4pm: Round 3
• 5pm: Debrief, feedback, discussion
