Leadership and Development Conference at MagicFest Las Vegas

This Development Conference is being ran concurrent with the Las Vegas Judge Conference, hosted by USA-SW. Being that space in the Development Conference is very limited, if you are unfortunately declined for it, I encourage you to apply to attend the SW conference instead. This Conference can accommodate 30 attendees. It is open L2s and L3s, and acceptances will be prioritizing L2s on the path to L3, as well as L2s operating in leadership roles.

This being said, the cover letter is very important! Tell us about yourself, what you look to gain from this conference, and what you are working towards in the Judge Program. Acceptances will be posted publically shortly after Magicfest Las Vegas acceptances are public.

The Leadership and Development Conference at Magicfest Las Vegas will be held from 9am- 5pm August 26th, 2019 (the Monday following Magicfest Las Vegas)

There are 5 sessions, and a Q&A panel.

9am-930am- Welcome and Introductions

930am-1020am- Matteo Callegari: "Common Mistakes People Make During the L3 Process"

Ever wanted to know what mistakes you can avoid when pursuing L3? This is your chance to hear amazing advice from the L3 panel lead himself!

1030am-1130pm- Mani Cavalieri: "Making Great and *Appealing* Calls"

This presentation covers assessments and techniques for effective leadership development and teambuilding skills.

1130pm-1230pm- LUNCH

1230pm-120pm- Paul Baranay: "Conflict Resolution and De-Escalation"

How to take control of potentially aggressive situations, get people calmed and under control, so you can get the game back on track.

130pm-220pm- John Alderfer: "Improving Your Judge Brand"

How to make yourself shine, communicate with TOs and Judge Managers, and work towards getting the opportunities you desire.

230pm-320pm- Panel: "Back in my day........"

This is a Q&A session, where we look back at how far the Judge Program and events have come, with amazing stories of judging past. How things used to be, why they changed, and what in the past molded the Judge Program into what we know and love today.

330pm-430pm- Tim Shields- "Judge Academy Q&A"

A session to go over the new direction of Judging, with the one and only Tim Shields!

430-5pm- Closing and distribution of foils.
