South / South East Judge Conference

What's this?

The South and South East areas are once again joining together to put together a local conference, this time hosted at the Students' Union of the University of Portsmouth.

What's happening?

This is a single-day conference, aimed primarily at level 1 judges. Higher levels are of course most welcome to attend, and there should be something for everyone.
While an area conference we are happy to have judges from all over and aim to have a range of activities relevant wherever you're based.
We aim to have a number of sessions targeting both hard and soft skills.

Can I Help?

If anyone has anything they would particularly like to see covered, or to offer to talk about it themselves, please mention so in your application. You do not need to be an experienced presenter to be able to do so.
Those wishing to present will need to have their application in by August 3rd.

Shiny things?

The Judge Program will provide certified (L1+) judges who register before the deadline, and attend and actively participate in the conference, with a gift of promotional foil cards.

Timings?

Expected runtime for the day is 10am start to 5:30 finish.
Activities and/or a meal are planned to be available after the conference, and a thread will go up in the forum closer to the date so as to determine preferences.

Travel?

The University is well signposted and accessible from the nearby Portsmouth and Southsea station.
If you're travelling from a way away, there are a number of nearby hotels or guesthouses as well as some local judges, check the forums or discord and you may find some people to help you out.
