Event Information
Hello judges !
We're looking for a small horde of judges to run what we expect to be the largest Duel Commander event, and break our own previous record of 230 players. This specific event will happen over 2 days, and will be held at Competitive REL. It will consist of a "main event" with a cut on day 1, then on day 2, we'll finish the main event swiss rounds and the top8; while running a rebound event in parrallel. We'll also run a number of side events during the weekend.
We're looking for 10 judges including 2 standbies for saturday, and 8 judges, including one stanby on sunday.
Expectations: as it will be a competitive event, we'll expect everyone to have a firm grasp of the MTRs and IPG, as well as rulings and fixes that come with these documents. There is a team devoted to setting up and breaking down the venue, but we might ask you for some help for setting tables numbers, pairings boards, and other small stuff.
Available roles:
For this event, we'll need 1 scorekeeper, and 2 team leaders each day. The definition of "Team leader" is a bit looser than at a MagicFest considering the scale of the event. It means you'll be given tasks and a bunch of fellow judges to handle it. Please mention in your application letter if you're interested by one of these positions. The head judge for these events will be Cyril Germain.
Compensation:
- 70€ in our partner's MKM shop (present on the tournament), or 1 box of WAR per day for Floor judges
- 100€ in our partner's MKM shop (present on the tournament), or 1.5 box of WAR per day for Scorekeepers and Team leaders.
- 150€ in our partner's MKM shop (present on the tournament), or 2 boxes of WAR per day for Headjudge.
Everyone will also be getting food & drinks through the day.
