Event Information
Mox Boarding House Seattle would like to invite you to judge at our Canadian Highlander 1k.
The event will be taking place at Mox Boarding House - Seattle on Saturday, July 13th. Registration will open for players at 10:00 AM and judges will be expected to be on-site at 11:30 AM to check-in and go over expectations for the day.
The main event will begin at 12:00 PM and will go until the Top 8 finishes around 9:00 PM.
Due to the level of prize support being provided for this tournament it will be runt at Competitive Rule Enforcement Level. Please be familiar with the Infraction Procedure Guide and DQ procedure.
All Judging Staff will also receive a meal from Cafe Mox on us and one 45-minute break during Swiss rounds. They will also receive the Mox Boarding House volunteer discount on product purchased in store that day.
Please be familiar with the Canadian Highlander Format and the Canadian Highlander Points System. Point Checks will be used in place of full deck-checks due to the 100-card singleton decks.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON JUDGING EVENTS AT MOX BOARDING HOUSE: If you are accepted to the event and have not previously filled out a Background Disclosure Authorization form with a Mox Boarding House location you will need to do so before you can act as Judging Staff for a Mox Boarding House Location. COMPENSATION
Judging Staff for the event will have the option of 1 booster box of Core 2020 or $80 in store credit per Judge level.
JUDGE ATTIRE
Judges shirts are not provided but encouraged if you have one you would like to wear. A black button-up shirt works just fine if you do not have an official judge shirt. Judging staff will be given a Mox Boarding House Volunteer Badge so they are not confused for our retail staff. You will probably still be asked about where a family can find Settlers of Catan once or twice. Just hand them over to our Scorekeeping staff to get them pointed in the right direction.
