TJ Collectibles MCQ

Thank you for your interest in this Mythic Championship Qualifier, run by TJ Collectibles on August 10, 2019! This is a Modern event. There is a cap for this event, 226, which means a maximum of 8 rounds of Swiss before the Top 8.

The Head Judge for this event is Zach Apony, L2, Northampton, MA. The tournament organizer is Tom Shea.

We expect to staff 5 additional judges and 2 standbys

Compensation:

Level 2: $150

Level 1: $120

Level 1 judges will work no longer than 10 hours and Level 2 judges will be expected to work until they are dismissed (teardown responsibilities may be included).

Call time for all judges will be 9 AM. The player's meeting will start at 10 AM.

Please come dressed in either a judge shirt (official or Northeast polo) or, if you don't have one, a black button-down shirt; clean black bottoms; and comfortable black shoes. You should also bring a notebook and at least one red and one black pen. Anything else you will need will be provided.

The venue has several parking options nearby, most of which require you to pay. Parking and food are not covered on top of compensation.

Integrating these larger local events into the Magic and Judge community has been fruitful. I think these events are a great opportunity for judges to get some experience with Competitive REL, working with other judges, and high stakes Magic - all without traveling very far or committing to multiple days. I am positive that anyone who applies will bring value to this event, so please focus on what value this event could bring to you.
