I'm Board Core20 Prerelease

I’m Board Games and Family Fun will be holding 8 prerelease events between the two stores: Six in Middleton and two in Sun Prairie.

Middleton:
Friday 3pm: Casual Sealed (3 rounds)
Friday 7pm: Sealed
Saturday 11am: Sealed
Saturday 5pm: Two-Headed Giant Sealed
Sunday 11am: Sealed
Sunday 5pm: Two-Headed Giant Sealed

Sun Prairie:
Friday 7pm: Sealed
Saturday 1pm: Sealed
No Sunday Event

For the first time, we can do Prerelease events on Friday! So that means no more midnight events and we can all get some sleep! We expect Fri pm in Middleton to be quite large and will likely need two judges for this event. The other events will be popular, but can likely be handled by a single judge, possibly with someone on standby. Please indicate in the questions which roles you would like to apply for by event or that you are not available.

Roles:
Head Judges are the masters of ceremonies. They lead the whole operation, from setup to teardown. They coordinate all of the tasks that need to be done -- product preparation, announcements, match slips, scorekeeping, floor coverage, round turnover, etc. -- and ensure the event runs smoothly. They are also the final arbiters of rules and policy questions, and they are entrusted to investigate and resolve event-integrity issues like cheating or unsporting conduct.
Floor Judges execute these tasks as directed by the Head Judge. Handle WER tasks, cut and pass out slips, take judge calls, tidy up the event area, etc.
Standby Judges are available to judge if they are needed, at the discretion of the Head Judge. If not needed, they can play (or go shoe shopping, or go disc golfing, or go home and watch football, etc.).

Expectations:
Arrive at least 45 minutes before your shift to help with registration and setup. Judges are expected to focus their attention on running a great event and will not be able to play in the events, with the exception of Fri 3pm in Middleton and Sat 1pm in Sun Prairie. Running a fantastic event for players is still the top priority and playing must take a back seat and should only be done if it will not interfere.
Attire is standard Judge Black: shirt, shoes, belt, pants/dress/skirt/utilikilt, etc. A Magic Judge uniform shirt is fine too, as is a plain black shirt of some other sort. Or, if you have some other Judge swag, that's cool too. Bottom line is that you should look good and represent the store well. If you have questions or concerns, indicate as such in your cover letter, and/or contact the Judge Manager.

Compensation and Player Caps:
In an effort to standardize things and make it a bit less off a lottery of how many players show up we have a standardized comp for the events regardless of player turnout. We are trying it out for this set. If it works, we'll keep it. If not, it might change. So, please feel free to give me feedback. Hopefully everyone will be pleased with it, and hopefully Bryan won't go broke.

Player caps and corresponding compensation for each event is as follows:

Sun Prairie:
Fri 7pm: 36 capacity ($150 credit/54 packs)
Sat 1pm: 18 capacity ($75 credit/27 packs or $50 credit/18 packs and free entry)

Middleton:
Fri 3pm (3 rds): 24 capacity ($75 credit/27 packs or $50 credit/18 packs and free entry)
Fri 7pm: 70 capacity ($125 credit/45 packs for HJ and $75 credit/27 packs for FJ, if two judges)
Sat 11am: 48 capacity ($150 credit/54 packs)
Sat 5pm: 40 capacity ($150 credit/54 packs)
Sun 11am: 48 capacity ($150 credit/54 packs)
Sun 5pm: 40 capacity ($150 credit/54 packs)
