Event Information
Face to Face Games is proud to announce our next FacetoFaceGames.com Hamilton Open to be held at the Hamilton Plaza Conference Centre. This awesome event features a large Modern tournament, on-demand drafts, constructed brawls and commander pods. The cap for this event is 120 players.

CALL TIME
Judges will be expected to be on site and ready to work by 8:30 AM. Judges will not be required to assist setting up the hall but expect some light tasks in the morning like setting the table numbers, placing pairing boards, etc. Judges are also expected to stay until at least the end of the Swiss rounds and assist with cleaning and breakdown. Based on previous events, we can expect the Swiss rounds to end around 8:00 PM but please note that the actual finish time might be different.
ALL JUDGES WELCOME
We are looking for judges of all levels. Judges staffed for this event will be working at Competitive REL and applying the IPG, all while being friendly and customer service focused. As this is a Modern event, being familiar with the format and all the interactions involved is highly recommended.
If you're not as experienced with those things, please apply as a basic sponsorship, and we will be happy to help you gain experience within the judge program. Applying as a basic sponsorship will increase your chances of being accepted.
COMPENSATION
- Judges staffed as Basic Sponsorship will be compensated with an honararium of $10/hr
- Judges staffed as Full Sponsorship will be compensated at a rate of $16/hr
- Judges staffed as Appeals Judge will be compensated at a rate of $18/hr
- Judges staffed as Head Judge will be compensated at a rate of $20/hr
Hours worked in beyond 8 on any given day are compensated at an additional 50% of the appropriate wage. Judges may choose to take some or all of their compensation in store credit at 125% of the cash value.
We are also looking for standby judges. If you wish to apply as a Standby Judge, please select the appropriate box in your application. Judges staffed as standby will be able to play in the main event for free if not needed to judge.
