Welcome to the event page for the dual header MCQ in Liverpool on August 3rd and 4th.

The Event

We are looking for two days worth of judges. Your head judges will be Mark Winckle for the Saturday, and Nick Hall for the Sunday.
Initially we are looking for three judges to work each day in addition to the head judges and scorekeeper, with additional judges being recruited beyond that as pre-sales ramp up closer to the event date. With that in mind, we would like to ask judges who feel they are able to, to volunteer as possible reserve judges to activate if needed should they be unsuccessful in their initial application.

Additionally, there will be EMSQ as side events on both days, sealed modern horizons on Saturday, Modern constructed on Sunday. These will begin at round three.

Due to MCQs being an excellent opportunity for judge development, and due to the needs of this event relating to reserve judges, preference will be given to non local judges for on staff positions. Preference will be given to local judges for reserve positions. This should facilitate an excellently locationally diverse judge staff, where different skills and opinions can be passed on across the region. This also allows those travelling from further afield to properly plan travel and Accomodation.

Those judges who volunteered to drop to reserve at the last Justplay MCQ will also be given priority for roles at this event.

Compensation

Compensation will be 1.5 x a booster box of Core Set 2020 or £85 per day worked.

Times

Judges will have to be on site at 08:30, and stay till at least just before top 8, which is projected to be at 18.30.
