L2+ Leadership and Development Conference OKC 2019

This is to help those accepted make correct travel plans/adjustments easier. Thank you for your understanding.

This Conference can accommodate 30 attendees. It is open to L2s and L3s, and acceptances will be prioritizing L2s on the path to L3, as well as L2s operating in leadership roles.

This being said, the cover letter is very important! Tell us about yourself, what you look to gain from this conference, and what you are working towards in the Judge Program. Acceptances will be posted publically shortly after Magicfest OKC acceptances are public.

The Leadership and Development Conference at Magicfest OKC will be held from 10am- 5pm December 16th, 2019 (the Monday following Magicfest OKC)

There are 4 sessions, and a Q&A panel.

10am-1030am- Welcome and Introductions

1030am-1120am- L3 Kevin Deprez: Investigations

One of the most senior judges in the program shares his wisdom when it comes to the difficult process of conducting an investigation.

1130am-1220pm- L3 Bryan Spellman: Mentorship

Helping other judges grow into their full potential can be challenging. Bryan shares his techniques to help improve your mentorship abilities

1230pm-120pm- LUNCH

130pm-220pm- L3 Jonah Kellman: Self Evaluation and Self-Review

How to view yourself and help yourself succeed can be a constant battle. Jonah helps you learn to do this effectively.

230pm-320pm- L3 Steven Zwanger: Deck Issues Workshop

In this hands-on presentation, Steven helps you effectively handle various issues that involve players decks- during play and during deckchecks.

330pm-430pm- Panel: Ask a Burgundy!

Get your questions ready! Your opportunity to pick the mind of a GP HJ.

430pm-5pm- Closing and Distribution of Foils.

This is a foil sponsored conference, provided by the Judge Program. As prerequisites for receiving foils, you must be a certified judge and participate actively and in a constructive manner during all seminars. You must attend all sessions to be eligible for foil sponsorship.
