SHIFT TIMINGS

Saturday:

Due to the predicted length of the European Modern Series Finals, we will be operating an early and late shift of judges to cover the whole day. Timings for these shifts are as follows:

Early Shift: 8:30 until shortly after the end of the swiss (expected around 20:30)

Late Shift: 11:30 until the end of the event (expected around 23:30)

Head Judges and Scorekeeper: 8:00 until the end of the event

Sunday:

Floor judges: 9:00 until the completion of the swiss rounds and any required support with clearing the venue (expected around 20:00)

Head Judges and Scorekeeper: 8:30 until the end of the event

If you find that your transport options would require you to arrive or leave a little earlier or later than these times, please make this clear in your application - we can work around most reasonable requirements.

COMPENSATION, TRAVEL SPONSORSHIP & ROLES

Compensation:

Payment will be in boxes of the latest standard set (M20). Axion Now will also be offering a cash alternative (via online payment).

Judges: 1.5 boxes or £82.50 (per day)

Mega Event Head Judges and Scorekeeper: 3 boxes or £165 (per day)

Standby Judges:

Standby judges will receive the regular shift compensation rate if activated. Standbys not activated will have the choice of either free main event entry or side events of equivalent value.

Saturday 24h notice option: Due to the qualification requirements / team requirements on the Saturday, we offer the option to be a “24h notice” Standby judge. This means that you will get at least 24h notice if you are activated and otherwise are not expected to be at the venue on the day. Compensation for this role is half a box or equivalent cash value.

Travel Sponsorship:

We will also be offering the opportunity to apply for travel sponsorship, to allow us to bring in more of the brilliant judges from further afield. You can apply for travel sponsorship in units of 1 box or £55 equivalent.

If you would like to apply for travel sponsorship, please indicate in your application both the amount you would like to apply for and a minimum amount of travel sponsorship you would need to consider applying to this event. Don’t worry if these are the same - we just want to make sure we can use our travel sponsorship budget to its best effect.
