Mentorship Conference - Fort Wayne

Event Information – Great Lakes - Fort Wayne, Indiana - September 21st, 2019
We are excited to present the Great Lakes with its FINAL conference as a region! This conference is intended to help L2s (and ambitious L1s) as they hone in on their skills as mentors. Making an L1 is an exciting aspect of being an L2+, but it can be daunting as well. If you have any judges in your area who have asked you about becoming a judge, this is the conference for you!

This conference is limited to 30 Attendees. Preference will be given to Level 2 judges.

4 slots will be allotted to our Presenters and 1 to our Orgainzer.

Judges of all levels are welcome to apply!

Applications:

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. Please include in your application any topics that you wish to have presented, so that we can know which presentations to plan.

If you are interested in presenting, please make note of this in your application AND email/Facebook me with topic(s) you would like to present on. If you do not reach out to me you will not be considered for a presenter role.

Who is the intended audience?

This conference is intended for judges of Level 2, or enthusiastic Level 1, who have an interest in making L1s in their area. We know what the steps to make L1 are, but we don't always know where to begin. If you have players in your area who are interested in becoming certified judges, ESPECIALLY with Judge Academy on the horizon, then this is the conference for you.

Presentation Agenda:

Each Presentation will be will be alloted 50 minutes, so please do your best to use this time. Presenters are encouraged to have a Q&A session factored into their time. A 10 minute break will happen between each presentation. Time extensions may vary depending on Q&A sessions.

The Great Lakes region records judge conference presentations and posts video and audio recordings online so that judges who could not be present physically can still benefit from them. If you are uncomfortable with photo, video, or audio recording of you being taken or shared in this way, please contatct the conference organizer (Dalton Grimes) or Conferences Lead (David Elden) to discuss what possible accomodations are available.

If enough people are interested, we can run a draft, or other events, after the conference. If you would like to volunteer to bring product to either Phantom Draft or have a buy-in please communicate that to me in your application.

For lunch there are a few options around and more details will be in emails as we get closer to event.

 *Foils only available to all certified judges participating in the event.  If you are certifying at the event, foils will be unavailable to you per Judge Program policy. Foils will be handed out at the end of event. The store will have a buylist price available for all conference foils prior to the event, for anyone interested.
