Versus Games - MCQ Richmond

Thank you for considering to apply to Versus Games' MCQ for Mythic Championship VI in Richmond! We are excited to have a couple extra judge slots for this event, and would love to pull some local talent to help us put on an amazing event for all of our players and judges. Versus Games strives to ensure that we run the highest quality events possible - from the total enjoyment of the tournament by our players, to the growth of our staff from working on an experienced judge team to grow and recieve constructive reviews!

Event Information

• The Head Judge for this event will be Peter Richmond.
• The event will be held at the SF County Fair Building located at 1199 9th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94122 on August 17, 2019.
• Event start time for players is 10AM. Judges should be onsite by 9:30.

Compensation

• Floor judges will recieve their choice of $120 cash or $150 in Versus Games store credit for working this event.
• All staff will recieve water, beverages throughout the day, and lunch paid for by Versus Games.
• If working this event would be unnecessarily difficult for you (e.g. gas expenses, tolls) please reach out to the judge manager Peter Richmond directly after applying. We'd love to see you at our event if you would otherwise be selected, and he is willing to work to offer some leeway to help those who normally couldn't judge get the experience and benefits of working this event!

Staff Expectations

• All staff are expected to wear a professional, clean uniform. The preferred dress code is black pants, black shoes, belt, and a judge shirt if you have one. Otherwise, a plain black button-down shirt is fine. If you have any questions, please reach out to the judge manager Peter Richmond.
• Mythic Championship Qualifiers are run at Competitive REL. All staff will be expected to know the IPG and how to apply remedies at Competitive REL. Training can be given at the event for running routine tournament procedures such as deck checks.
• Versus Games and our judge manager believe in events where everyone - players, staff, and spectators - all feel welcome and respected. At a minimum, this means that we do not tolerate discrimination or aggressive behavior of any kind. But more than that, we want to drive an environment where everyone has a wonderful time. Great customer service and community skills are a huge plus.
• Floor judges should expect to work through all Swiss rounds and released before Top 8 begins. All judges will receive, at minimum, a full-round meal break and a half-round rest break. (Additional breaks will definitely be given as-needed to ensure everyone is healthy and taken care of!)
