Event Information
Hello, and thank you for your interest in Pandemonium's Mythic Championship Qualifier.
Everything you need to know should be found down below. If you have any questions or concerns, please email the TO at Chris@PandoGames.com or message him through Facebook at facebook.com/ChristopherByrne.
Expectations
Judges at Pandemonium's Mythic Championship Qualifier are expected to prepare before the event by reviewing the Magic Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Comprehensive Rules documents. The most current versions of these documents can be found at the Magic Judges Document Center.
The uniform for judges at this event will consist of the standard black judge shirt (or a black, longsleeve, button-down dress shirt if you do not have a standard black judge shirt), black pants, black belt, black socks, and comfortable black shoes. If you do not have a standard black judge shirt, please note this in your application as we may be able to find one for you. During any breaks, or at any other time that a judge is off duty, judges should remove or cover their judge shirt.
Judges are expected to arrive at the venue no later than 8:00 am. If you anticipate being unable to arrive on-time or if you need to leave before 10:00 pm, please note this in your application.
Compensation
Compensation for the event will be different from past events.
We at Pandemonium recognize the value skilled judges bring to events. We believe the old standards of compensation in our region, as we know them, have fallen behind. As such Pandemonium is looking to update and improve on its compensation model.
Pandemonium Compensation Model:
- Floor Lead - $15 per hour
- Floor Judge - $12 per hour
- Scorekeeper - $10 per hour
Each staff member will also receive a $10 cash lunch stipend in addition to their hourly compensation.
These compensation values are in the form of store credit if the event attendance is under 175 players.
These compensation values are in the form of CASH if the event attendance is over 174 players.
Our goal with this new Compensation Model is to better support the judges that make our events a huge success. Part of that is relying on the judges to help spread the word and encourage their local players to attend the event.
If you have any questions or concerns about this Compensation Model, please email the TO at Chris@PandoGames.com.
