Thank you for your interest in the Eternal Weekend 2019 presented by CardTitan.com.  The dates for the event are October 31st through November 3rd, 2019.  Please be certain to read over the entire application for important information before applying.

Expectations

The information contained in this application covers judges, scorekeepers, and administrative staff for the event.  Please be sure to indicate in which roles you are interested in your application.

Please note that you may apply for multiple roles and may have more than one during the weekend.  If you selected for judge staff, you may still be asked to take on administrative tasks if needed.

Traditional judge blacks are recommended for this event.  Other judge shirts or button-down shirts can be worn as you wish.

If selected for a judging role, you may be asked to officiate any of the following:

·         Main event

·         Scheduled side events

·         On-demand events (ODEs)

If selected for an administrative role you may be asked to do any of the following:

·         Information desk

·         Prize Wall

·         Registration

·         VIP Attendant

·         Other event operations duties

Everyone selected for judge staff will be expected to work a minimum of two days, either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday.  A small number of judges may be selected for all days.  Anyone selected to work in an administrative position is expected to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Modern and Legacy Championship Leads and all Vintage Champioship judges will be Extended shifts.  All staff are expected to be available until at least 8 PM (20:00) on Sunday.

Regular shifts are approximately 10 hours.
Extended shifts are approximately 12 hours.

Compensation

All staff members will receive one (1) Eternal Weekend playmat per day (split evenly among mats from the main events) in addition to the following:

General Pay Rate: $175 / day
Extended Shifts: +$25 /  day
Administrative Roles: $200 / day (all are extended shifts)
Scheduled Events, ODE, Registration, and Prize Wall Leads: +$75 / day
Scorekeepers: $225 or $250 depending on experience

CardTitan.com will have a room block available at a nearby hotel while supplies last (details to be posted in the forum after selections).

You may opt for a portion of the compensation in store credit at a rate of 120%.  You must inform the judge manager that you wish to use this option at least one week prior to the event.

All staff will need to complete the appropriate paper work prior to starting their first shift; this includes a W-9.

Please also note that all selected applicants will be checked against the National Sex Offender Registry located at https://www.nsopw.gov.

Thursday AM Setup and Sunday PM Teardown

We will need staff on Thursday to assist with preparing the hall and other miscellaneous set up. We also need staff on Sunday night to tear down the hall and pack up the equipment.  The Thursday shift will start at approximately 8 AM (depending on material arrivals) and go until the room is set up.  The Sunday shift will start at 4 PM (16:00) on Sunday and will go until the event is completely packed up (possibly Midnight, 24:00, or later).  Casual wear for physical effort is appropriate attire for these shifts.

Anyone selected to work on Thursday setup or Sunday teardown will receive the daily rate of $150.

Please keep in mind that the setup and teardown work is physical in nature and you need to be able to lift and move large and heavy items for extended periods of time throughout this shift.
