Event Information
The Gentry Open is the finale of a season of Gentry, it is the currently the only competitive event that is organized by the League of new and beginning Magic: the Gathering Players. The expected number of players is around 50 so we are looking for a Head Judge, a Floor judge and a spare judge for this event. The head judge should have experience running Competitive events, the other judges need to have at least a basic familiarity with Competitive. In Judge levels: We prefer a L2 Head judge and other judges should be close to reaching it at least. The spare judge gets activated when we go over 50 players, if not they get to play the event for free.
Doors open at 10:00
Event starts at 11:00
The event will use a swiss + top 8 structure, with the possibility of playing side events, though those will likely only be firing during the top 8. There are players that will have a bye, so the number of rounds may need to get upped as players with a bye count double. The event is streamed, so some support from your deck checks judges is required. You can find all the information about the event on facebook.
Compensation is as follows
Every judge gets a goodie bag (same as the players), a free warm meal and water.
The head judge gets 50 euros
The floor judge(s) gets 30 euros
