Magic Stronghold is looking for judges for the Throne of Eldraine Pre-release!
We're looking for judges for the following shifts:
Saturday AM Sealed - 8:45am - until about 2:00pm
Saturday PM Sealed - 1:45pm - until about 7:00pm
Saturday 2HG - 6:45pm - finish (usually about Midnight)
Sunday AM Sealed - 8:45am - about 2:00pm
Sunday PM Sealed - 1:45pm - until about 7:00pm
Sunday 2HG - 6:45pm - Finish (usually about Midnight)
CALL TIME
Judges will be expected to be on site and ready to work by 15 Minutes before the event begins. You will not be required to assist setting up the venue but expect some light tasks like setting the table numbers, helping new players with DCI Numbers, etc. You are also required to stay until at least the end of the Swiss rounds and assistance with cleaning is expected. Based on previous events, you can expect each event to be 5 hours but please note that the actual finish time might be different.
ALL JUDGES WELCOME
We're looking for judges of all levels. Judges staffed for this event will be working at Regular REL, all while being friendly and customer service focused. As this is a Sealed event, being familiar with the format, all the interactions involved and any new mechanics is highly recommended.
SOME DUTIES TO EXPECT
-Preparing and distributing product
-Answering judge calls
-Watching matches
-Cleaning table numbers
-Handing out prizes
-Being ready and willing to help other judges
-Anything else your head judge needs within reason
COMPENSATION
Head Judges: $18 store credit/hour
Floor judges: $16 store credit/hour
DRESS CODE
Be comfortable. Preferably a judge shirt and black pants or something you would wear to an interview. It can get pretty hot in a room with 100+ people so if you're wearing something warm, you might want to bring a change of clothes. One of the washrooms only has room for one person and can be locked, so you can change in there, or the store's storage room.
