Oklahoma City Mini-Conference

Hello! Thank you for your interest in the Oklahoma City Mini-Conference - possibly the final conference under the old system. This conference is foil-supported, and can support 30 attendees. If you are interested in attending, simply apply for this event. If we have more than 30 attendees, some may be listed as Standby, pending withdrawals. If you indicate you are willing to be a Standby and are accepted as such, you will not receive foils for the event unless one or more attendees withdraw or do not arrive. Standbys will be given an order of reception. If you are not able or do not want to attend as a Standby, please do not check that box. 

If you are interested in presenting at this conference, indicate such on your application, and please explain the following in your cover letter: The topic of your presentation, the main points of it, the target audience of your presentation, and what form of presentation it would be (i.e. PowerPoint lecture, open discussion, workshop, etc). Presenters will be selected by November 20th. This is to allow for plenty of time for preparing and mastering of presentations. Please apply early, as some presenters may be selected ahead of time. Ideally, I would like to have two Rules presentations and two Soft-skills presentations

In order to receive foils for this conference, you must be a certified judge before the closing of the application. If you certify between then and the conference, please contact me directly. This must be a certification in good standing in EITHER Judge Academy or the Historical program. Non-certified judges are still welcome to attend, but you will not receive foils for the event.

3:00pm-3:50pm: Michael Arrowsmith: Introduction to Investigations
4:00pm-4:50pm: Kade Goforth: Timing and Priority
5:00pm-5:30pm: Open Panel - The New Program and You
5:30pm-6:00pm: Check-Out + Foils

The Open Panel, The New Program and You, will be a panel discussion dedicated to discussing the transition to Judge Academy, and what can be expected in the new world. This will be the time to try and find answers to your questions as well as recommendations for the paths to take to your goals. As of current, no official Judge Academy leadership will be there, but we will likely attempt to call in one or more of them.
