December to Remember NC Holiday Conference

Community is an integral aspect of the judge program. Getting together for fun and fellowship provides the experiences necessary great cohesion during events. Conferences are the occasion to meet new people and see old friends, to learn and teach, to share your tips and spread knowledge. They are one of the best opportunities to get good practices and share what works for you.

This conference is quite different from the norm and focuses on skills that we hope not to use. We will start at 11:30AM and conclude around 6:30PM.

We have scheduled an EMT who will present on first aid, choking, and CPR. There will be mannequins to exercise your new skills. At the end of the seminar you will feel confident in your ability to help others in need. This training will not provide a First Aid/CPR certificaiton.   

A Marine Special Operations Security Chief from Camp LeJune will present on Active Shooter situations. We have received permissons to use some of their training videos. While we hope to never encounter this situation, having a little bit of knowledge could help you stay calm and make good decisions. 

We are working with a Leadership Design specialist to create some experiential activities for the group. There is a lot of heavy content during this seminar and we will end the day with food and fun. We've also added a competitve design challenge to make this seminar memorable. 

Support

The conference is foil supported and can accommodate up to 20 attendees. Lunch and Dinner will be provided for all attendies. Hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, and pizza will be served with sides and dessert. If you have any food allergies or requirements, please make note in the application. If we have more than 20 attendees register, we will accept individuals as standby in case of withdraws.
