Event Information

General Information

The WPNQ will take place at Dragon's Lair in Stockholm the 7th of December.

We are currently looking for floor judges (including team leads), a scorekeeper, and a head judge. Head judge and scorekeeper will be staffed ASAP.

___

This is an event with a larger staff than most other local events, and the judge staff will scale with attendance. Because of this, please only check the "standby" box if you are able to be on standby. If you are selected but not activated, you will receive free entry to play in the event.

This is one of the highest levels of competitive play with qualifications for the Player's Tour. As such, priority will be given to L2+ judges and judges with solid experience from competitive REL events.

Be sure to mention any specific tasks you would prefer to be responsible for during the WPNQ in your application. It might not be possible to accomodate all requests, but we will do our best to try.

If you for travel and accomodations reasons need an answer quicker than the day applications close, please also write so in your cover letter.

___

The day starts at 8AM and ends with the conclusion of the top8. The player cap is at 128.

Shift types; (All may not be available; it will depend on player participation)

All day; From 8 AM until the conclusion of the event.

Early; From 8 AM until the end of swiss.

Late; From 11 AM until the conclusion of the event.

Swing; From 11 AM until the end of round 6.

 Compensation

For the full day, two boxes of any standard legal set.

For the early and/or late shift, 1.5 boxes of any standard legal set.

For the swing shift, 1 box of any standard legal set.

Lunch & coffe will be provided to judges and to non-activated judges on standby that chose to play in the event.

Expectations

If you are selected to be on staff, you will be expected to show up early enough to be in judge attire and ready to work at the assigned time. Judge attire includes black shoes, black trousers or skirt or similar and a judge shirt or plain black dress shirt, or a black dress. You will also be expected to be available until the assigned end-time of the shift.

Dragon's Lair prioritises a welcoming and inclusive attitude even at its highest level of competitive events, and that attitude is expected to be reflected in every judge interaction.

Unfortunately the venue is not yet accessible via other means than the stairs, and as such might not be accessible to those with mobility issues. Please inquire if you are uncertain about this.
