We are pleased to announce a mini-conference for the North Midlands and Yorkshire area. The focus of the conference is building networks and sharing good practice amongst the growing judge community in the area. We are hoping to use this as a launch pad for a new mentoring program as well as having great input planned from more experienced judges.

The conference is ideal for prospective and newly anointed level one judges. The aim is to have the facility to certificate new judges on the day. The schedule is planned with a view to creating as many opportunities as possible for discussion, sharing experiences and asking (and answering) of questions. If you are considering applying to attend this conference the aim is for this to create a network of judges that will continue to work closely together in the future and should not be seen as a stand alone event.

Lunch can be ordered (or picked up) from any number of very nearby independent sandwich shops or more generic food outlets.
If there is interest prior to the day we can arrange to go for a meal and drinks afterwards – there are several good local options (if you’re interested in this please email Will Morgan on will1203@live.com prior to the conference).

Access to the venue is a little tricky – it is in an office unit and there is an intercom to gain access (dial 202 on the intercom next to the door and press enter to get through to the office). If there any issues finding it from the postcode alone just call 07872489683 and Will can come find you or explain where to go. In terms of getting to the venue it is approximately a 25-35 minute walk from Sheffield train station. It should cost around £5 in a taxi or there are a number of bus options from nearby to the train station (ask for Heeley retail park as the closest bus stop to the venue).
