Willkommen zum Reutlinger Mock Tournament 2020

English text below

Welcome to the Reutlingen Mock Tournament 2020

What is a Mock Tournament?

A mock tournament is a tournament, which is first and foremost a conference. The goal of the conference is to give judges who are not that familiar with competitive REL the chance to get experience in a controlled environment with the opportunity to give and receive feedback directly. The players will obviously have fun playing Magic and providing genuine (and also produced) situations to help the judges learn and also provide feedback to those.

Instead of having a short Random Situation Generator scenario, we have a full tournament with 3 - 4 rounds where we do not only have regular judge calls, but can also practice to work in teams like paper, deck checks, and end of round.

Support

This conference is supported by Judge Academy. Each participating and actively contributing judge that is certified with Judge Academy will receive conference foil packages.

Schedule

everything past start of the tournament is an estimate.

9.30 - 10.00 Arrival of judges and players

10.00 - 10.45 Separate Briefing for Players and Judges

11.00 - 16.00 Tournament with a 60 minute lunch break after round 1

16.00 Feedback session

17.00 Wrap Up and foils

Open end - We have the location till we want to leave and access to about 1500 board games from the local board gaming club. Obviously we also have everything to play Magic in any format including Judge Tower or Kamigawa Block Constructed Tiny Leaders.
