WPN Qualifier Players Tour #2 of 2020

At Ease Games in San Diego is looking for Head and Floor Judges and standby judges for our WPN Qualifier on February 29th, 2020

Expectations

All judges are expected to arrive no later than 1 hour before the event begins. Judges are expected to stay through the completion of the Swiss rounds.  If you need to arrive late or leave early, please note that in your application.

Expected attire for the event is black pants and a judge shirt, regional polo shirt, or other nice black shirt. 

Judges at the event are expected to prepare by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, and Infraction Procedure Guide. These documents can be found at the Wizards Rules and Documents page.

As representatives of At Ease Games and the Magic Judge Program, judges are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times.

Compensation

The head judge will be compensated $16 an hour and floor judges will be compensated $12 cash an hour (Minimum 8hrs of pay) and both will be allowed access to the employee discount which is 40% off most items (Excluding singles). Since the event will most assuredly go over 8 hours, overtime pay will be applied to these rates of pay (1.5 times initial rate). Judges will either need to fill out a W2 and be entered in as a store employee for the day or fill out a 1099 form for Miscellenious Income.

Standby judges that are not activated will be compensated free entry into the event or $30 cash.

BACKGROUND CHECKS 

Per new company policy, we are requiring all applicants to undergo a background check prior to approval and bringing on to our events. If you have already filled out a check with us, please disregard. If you need to have one done, let us know and we will cover the cost of the check for you.
