Event Information
Central California Judge Conference
Welcome and thank you for your interest in this conference. It is set to happen May 17, 2020 from 10 am until 4 pm.
The event will be hosted in Hanford:
Command Zone Games and Hobbies
140 S 11th Ave
Hanford, CA 93230
The conference will run from 10 am until 4 pm with an hour lunch at 1 pm. Snacks nor lunch will be provided, but there are plenty of restaurants and food places close by, plus drinks and snacks will be on hand at the store for purchase. Presenter schedule will be determined after the application process has closed.
We are looking for one more presenter! If you would be interested in presenting at this conference, please answer yes, submit this in your cover letter with what topic you would like to cover, and inform us what equipment you may need. We already have some local talent presenting and well as some well known judges from the Northern California and Los Angeles regions, but we'd love to have another join in.
The conference is foil supported, but you must be a certified judge to receive the packet. You must also attend all the seminars. Submitting a feedback form once the conference has concluded would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you may reach out to me, Kris Kleinsteuber, through my email posted here, the forums for this event, Facebook/Messenger, or Discord. I'm on both the Judge Academy: US West server and the official Judge Academy server. I should be listed under my last name in both.
If you are driving from a distance, or you want to come to our Comp REL Team Trios event the day before (May 16), there are plenty of hotels in Hanford. If you want to visit nearby Visalia and stay there instead, both Alex and I live in that town and would love to show you the downtown region and nightlife. Visalia is on the 198 off the 99, and Hanford is located due west on 198 about 25 minutes away. If you need recommendations, don't hesitate to contact me or Alex. Head over to Command Zone Games and Hobbies' Facebook page for more info on the Comp REL event set for May 16 at the store's location.
The event is posted both here and on the Judge Academy Events page. We'd prefer people apply through here, but both events will be used to determine attendance.
