Cyphacon MTG weekend

Hey! Thanks for your consideration for your help with our MTG weekend cash tournaments!

We have 1 head judge for the event and are looking for 1 more head judge, and up to 5 floor judges, 1-2 to be on standby

Who we are;

We are a LGS based in Lake Charles Louisiana.  This is our 3rd year as a shop and our 1st year with WPN premium status.  I'm the main event organizer for this weekend, and I have 2 partners assisting all weekend.  We are a very tight-knit group for MTG in Louisiana and we work with any and all other shops/organizers to ensure the best events for our players.  We are hoping to capture crowds from Texas to Mississippi with this event, being that Louisiana and our immediate areas don't get many events of this size very often.  We strive to bring the best experience possible for staff and players!  We are willing to help accommodate as much as possible to make sure our staff have a great helpful weekend!

The Event;

Modern $5k Cash tournament on Saturday

Standard $1k Cash tournament on Sunday

Commander $1k Cash tournament on Sunday

On demand side events all weekend

Our Modern & Standard events are currently in consideration by SCG to be qualified by a 2-slot RCQ invites, but we will not have exact answer on this for another week.

More Details;

The Venue is the Lake Charles Event Center which is located in our downtown area.  The convention is called Cyphacon and this will be its 12th year running.  It is mostly a sci-fy/anime convention, but are also host to a pretty sweet E-sports style tournament all weekend.

Call Time

9:00am on both Saturday & Sunday

Our dedicated space will be upstairs and we have 250 seats available to us for the weekend.

We only want a smooth event for our players/staff so please notify us of any thoughts or concerns for our application and the actual event.

Compensation;

Floor Judge- $150 per day

Standby Judges- Free entry to either event/side events

We have a hotel block and are willing to help those traveling with lodging
