Freaks 4U Gaming (Gamevasion powered by DreamHack) sucht Judges für unsere MTG Play Area in Hannover vom 6.12. – 8.12.2024.

Die Gamevasion ist ein Nerd-LAN-Festival mit verschiedenen Bereichen, wie LAN, Cosplay, Star Wars, Brettspiele, Indie, Retro, Pen & Paper und Trading Card Games. In unserem Trading Card Game Bereich planen wir eine große Commander Play Area in der beim Casual Play Tix für eine Prize Wall gesammelt werden können. Zudem planen wir einige wenige Ticketed Play Angebote pro Tag wie Draft, Sealed, 2HG oder AllPlay. Hierfür suchen wir tatkräftige Unterstützung.

Eine Bewerbung auf die folgenden Positionen ist möglich:

"Headjudge"/Event Lead - 250€ pro Tag.

Teamlead – 180€ pro Tag
Team-führende Rollen in Logistik, Eventadministration, Floormanagement und Customer Service.

Scorekeeper – 180€ pro Tag
Sicherer, schneller Umgang mit Companion App ist nötig

Prize Wall Manager – 150€ pro Tag
Logistik, Verwaltung und Ausgabe der Preise bzw. Anleitung von Mitarbeitenden der Prize Wall.

Floor Judges – 100€ pro Tag

Standby Judge - Eintritt und 1 Event nach Wahl umsonst mitspielen, wenn nicht aktiviert. Aktivierte Standby Judges werden wie Floorjudges bezahlt.


Alle Rollen (außer Standby Judge) erhalten ein Hotelzimmer inkl. Frühstück in Doppelbelegung von Freitag bis Sonntag. Eine Nacht von Sonntag auf Montag kann auf Eigenkosten hinzugebucht werden. Standby Judges können - wenn gewünscht - ihr Zelt in der LAN Halle aufschlagen.

Zusätzlich werden Getränke und ein warmes Mittagessen während der Eventzeit zur Verfügung gestellt.

Kommunikation im Team inklusive der Event-Vorbereitung wird hauptsächlich über Discord stattfinden, ein Discord-Account ist somit nötig.

Schichten beginnen um 9:30 Uhr und enden Freitag und Samstag ca. 20:30 mit 1,5 h Pause. Am Sonntag endet die Schicht schon um 18:30 Uhr.

Freaks 4U Gaming (Gamevasion powered by DreamHack) is looking for judges for our MTG Play Area in Hannover from December 6th to December 8th, 2024.

Gamevasion is a Nerd-LAN festival with various areas, such as LAN, Cosplay, Star Wars, board games, indie, retro, pen & paper and trading card games. In our trading card game area, we are planning a large Commander Play Area where tickets for a prize wall can be collected during casual play. We are also planning a few ticketed play offers per day such as draft, sealed, 2HG or AllPlay. For this we are looking for active support.

Applications for the following positions are possible:

“Headjudge"/Event Lead - €250 per day.

Teamlead – €180 per day
Team-leading roles in logistics, event administration, floor management and customer service.

Scorekeeper – €180 per day
Confident, fast use of Companion App is necessary.

Prize Wall Manager – €150 per day
Logistics, administration and distribution of prizes and/or instruction of Prize Wall employees.

Floor Judges – €100 per day

Standby Judge - entry and 1 event of your choice for free if not activated. Activated standby judges are paid like floor judges.


All roles (except Standby Judge) receive a hotel room incl. breakfast in double occupancy from Friday to Sunday. An additional night from Sunday to Monday can be booked at extra cost. Standby Judges can pitch their tent in the LAN hall if they wish.

In addition, drinks and a warm lunch will be provided during the event.

Communication within the team, including event preparation, will take place primarily via Discord, so a Discord account is required.

Shifts start at 9:30 a.m. and end at about 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a 1.5-hour break. On Sunday, the shift ends at 6:30 p.m.
