Pack Bois Competitive Pauper Commander 2025 Spring-Summer League (Season 0)

I am a Twitch Affiliate streamer who plays Magic: The Gathering, and I love Commander. To mix things up and add some variety to the regular EDH games we play in my server, I thought it would be fun to start a Competetive Pauper Commander League!

---

What is Pauper Commander (PDH)?
Pauper Commander (PDH) is a variant of Commander (EDH) where decks are made entirely of commons, except for the commander(s), which must be an uncommon creature or uncommon Background (if the chosen creature has "Choose a Background"). Commanders need not be Legendary. For official rules and the banlist, visit the [PDH Home Base](https://pdhhomebase.com).

Pack Bois Competitive Pauper Commander Spring-Summer League (Season 0)  Structure & Rules

Season 0 will consist of Swiss rounds, followed by a single-elimination playoff, based on attendance & a weekly champs series with the top 4 players of that week's pods.

The tournament will be run at Competitive REL using Topdeck.gg’s Game Rules and Tournament Policies (including their Competitive REL MTR/IPG Addendum for Commander Events) – https://topdeck.gg/mtr-ipg-addendum

Swiss Rounds & Playoff Structure:

Based on the number of players, the rounds and playoff cutoffs will be as follows:

- 1-34 players: 3 rounds, cut to Top 4 single-elimination.

- 35-64 players: 4 rounds, cut to Top 10 (1st-2nd get a bye into the finals, the remaining 8 play in semi-finals pods).

- 65+ players: 5 rounds, cut to Top 16.

Points System:

. 1st place = last man standing: 3 points

. 2nd place = 1st player knocked out that game : 2 points

. 3rd place = 2nd player knocked out that game: 1 point

. 4th place = 3rd player knocked out that game: 0 points

. Draw: 0 points

. Bye: 0 points

INFINITE COMBOS POLICY: in an event someone goes infinite and multiple players lose simultaneously, we will determine placement by turn order. **

**EXAMPLE:** Player 3 has gone infinite as the stack resolves, Player 4 would lose first and so on, in reverse order.

*player 3 goes infinite*

*player 4 gets knocked out first = 4th place*

*player 1 gets knocked out 2nd = 3rd place*

*player 2 gets knocked out 3rd = 2nd place*

*All rounds will last for a maximum of 90 minutes.*

Championship Series:
The top players from each pod will qualify for that week's Championship Series, a single-elimination round with prize support.
*Example: If there are 4 pods with 3 games each, the top 4 players with the most points from their pod's rounds will qualify for that week's Championship Series.

Each week’s winner will face off in a King of the Server event at the end of the season.
